The Home

In summary

Very comfortable villa in Mauritius, of generous size, neat and decorated with taste.
The villa is located at Îlot Fortier, on the road between Rivière Noire and Le Morne. It takes its name from the pass of Harmony which separates its lagoon from the sea.

Magnificent view over the lagoon and the mountain of Le Morne.

A boat accommodating 10 people (including the skipper) is at available on high tide days for Rs 1,000 (€ 25) per trip (payable directly to Denis, the gardener and skipper).

Indoors

3 bedrooms are part of the main house and the other ones are detached in an independent pavilion including a fare (wooden house on stilts, not air conditioned)

Living room: sitting area for 8 guests, table for 8 guests

Fully equipped kitchen: gas stove, hood, gas oven, American fridge, filter coffee maker, kettle, toaster, dishwasher, microwave, water filter.

Laundry room: washing machine

Bedroom 1 (African Room): sea view - private terrace, air conditioning + fan, double bed 1m80 x 2m, dressing room, ensuite shower room: 1 shower, 2 washbasins, 1 WC, 1 open shower.

Bedroom 2 (Indian Room): air conditioning + fan, double bed 1m80 x 2m, ensuite shower room: 1 shower, 2 washbasins, 1 WC

Bedroom 3 (Chinese Room): sea view - private terrace, air conditioning, 2 beds 1m60 x 2m, bathroom

In the pavilion (Fare) : Small wooden house located next to the swimming pool. Sea view - private terrace + outside bathroom.
Fan only, double bed 1m80 x 2m. Ensuite bathroom: 1 WC + 1 washbasin inside + 1 shower.

- Linens and towels provided
- Internet 50G included. Additional GB require buying a recharge card at the supermarket 10 minutes from the house.

- Terrace (verandah) front (sea side): sitting area and table for 10 guests

Service and Staff

1-6 people: 1 housekeeper from 08:30 to 12:30 - 6 days / 7 (Cleaning)
7-10 people: 2 housekeepers from 08:30 to 12:30 - 6 days / 7 (Cleaning)
Possibility of overtime charged to the tenant. (About 3 euros / hour) (For cooking for example)

32 € per night per additional child beyond 8 people

Rental conditions

- Any external invitation to the contractual guests must be validated in advance by the owner or manager
- Children welcome
- Fireworks are prohibited in the villa, its garden and the beach close by.
- It is not allowed to organise events in the property without prior approval by Villanovo
- No safety fence around the pool
- This property is self catering. In-house cooking can be arranged on request.
- Language spoken by staff : English - French
- Check-in : 16:00 h - Check out : 11:00 h
- Amount of security deposit : 500.00 EUR
- Security deposit must be paid in the form of : Credit card pre-authorization (amount is not debited from your card)

Reservation conditions

- Guarantee deposit charged by Villanovo upon reservation : 40 %
- 2nd payment 45 Days to arrival day : 60 % of total amount of reservation is due to Villanovo.
- The reservation price does not include optional incidentals or on-request items which will be added to your final bill.

Cancellation policy and cancellation fees

- Any booking modification or cancellation must be sent to us by email
- Cancellation policy is applied according to villa local time
- For all cancellations, the initial guarantee deposit is non-refundable.
- Cancellation occurs less than 45 Days to arrival day : 100 % of total amount of reservation is due to Villanovo.
- No show 100 % of total amount of reservation is due to Villanovo

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour,
la villa se trouve sur un petit îlot avec une vue magnifique, si vous voulez des couchés de soleil à en couper le souffle vous êtes au bon endroit.
Endroit très calme, tout le nécessaire dans la maison. Piscine, transat, canoë etc

Localisation de la maison est exceptionnelle, vous etes au calme, à part les pecheurs à pied qui passe devant la maison vous ne voyiez personne.
L'acces à l'ilot via un chemin en terre est difficile à trouver mais le concierge vous attends sur la grande route.
Vous avez la mer autours de vous sur 270°... si , si! et la piscine est tres agréable.La veranda est tres agreable et la vue sur le Morne change tout le temps, nous n'avons pas eu deux couchers de soleil identique.
Les kayaks sont aussi tres agréables pour se promener dans le lagon.
La location d'un vehicule 6 places s'est aussi fait via le conciere et c'était tres pratique

Les repas de Marie Ange sont à conseiller, bien meilleurs que les restaurants.

Bon service rendu par villanovo, le concierge sur place est efficace mais parfois à relancer....;)

Aspect de la villa est un peu viellot et perturbe à l'arrivée apres 15 heures de voyage mais on s'y fait tres vite car toutes les chambes sont agréables et grandes, climatisées si cela vous dit...
Les photos de la villa sont à la fois plus belle que la réalité (etat du deck autours de la piscine) et largement moins belle (l'environnement de la villa est vraiment enchanteur, impossible a rendre en photos)
