Beautiful beaches
The East of Mauritius enjoys beautiful beaches that are impossible to miss during your stay. Head to Roches Noires, a wide beach that extends to Poste Lafayette. Here, you will feel the refreshment of the wind. In winter, these spots are privileged to practice watersports, where it is particularly good for kitesurfing.
Not far from Poste Lafayette, the small bay of Bras d'Eau is a real invitation to travel. Come and admire the turquoise waters of this paradisiacal beach. In the evening, the sunset will offer you a breathtaking show with, in the distance, the highlands that mingle on the horizon.
Finally, do not miss Belle Mare, a pristine beach perfect for relaxation. This beach, crossed by Mahébourg and Trou d'Eau Douce, is one of the main meeting places. It is therefore an opportunity to soak up the Mauritian culture!
Watersports, fairytale islands and natural landscapes
As we mentioned, the east of Mauritius enjoys scenic beaches that are often windy. That's why this region is ideal for practicing watersports: from kayaking to canoeing to kitesurfing and windsurfing, there is something for everyone! During your stopover in the East of Mauritius, do not miss the splendid islands which will offer you sublime landscapes. In particular, the uncrowded Ile aux Cerfs is one of the most beautiful sites in Mauritius. A real gem, Ile aux Cerfs offers a dream setting. Do not forget your camera!
During your trip to the east of Mauritius, if you rent a car, you will have the opportunity to discover the picturesque and steep roads that snake along the coast. While driving, listen to the surrounding rippling ocean waves!
If you are sporty, we also advise visiting the Bras d'Eau National Park which has an ATV circuit that is open to the public. In the middle of the tropical forest, you can then discover the splendid landscapes of the East of Mauritius until the caves of Roches Noires!
